Horse conformation clinic offered at Santa Anita track

Thoroughbred Owners of California will host a free "Horse Conformation Clinic" from 10 a.m. to noon Sat., Feb. 24 at the Top o' the Stretch, Clockers' Corner at the Santa Anita Racetrack, 285 W. Huntington Drive, Arcadia, Calif.

The program includes guided tours of the stable area, giving participants a look at the racehorses stabled at the track. Trainers will host groups at their barns and discuss general horse conformation points, including body types, typical flaws and how a horse's build affects soundness and performance.

TOC is an official organization serving new, veteran and future thoroughbred owners in the state. The organization provides educational opportunities for current and prospective owners.
