TOHS praised for its message

I never thought I'd find myself sitting patiently at an intersection with tears welling in my eyes.

I never gave much rapt attention and consideration to a high school marquee. However, there I was at the intersection of Las Flores and Moorpark Road, gazing at the marquee with my heart in my throat.

Thank you, Thousand Oaks High School, for the touching tribute you are showing to our fallen soldier, Anthony Melia.

Your message gives all of us who patiently wait in our cars a reminder to count our blessings and give thanks and honor to those who sacrifice their lives for our freedom and safety. I extend my prayers for the Melia family.
