The Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library will present free programs in February. The library is at 1401 E. Janss Road and the website is www.toaks.org/library. For more information on any of the programs, call (805) 449-2660.

Reference librarians will lead an informative tour of the library from 10:15 to 11 a.m. Wed., Feb. 21. The tour will include a demonstration of the library's website and online catalog. No registration is required. To participate, meet at the sculpture near the main entrance.

A "Library Learning Lab" will be presented from 10 to 11:45 a.m. Thurs., Feb. 22. Participants will learn how to use the library's website to search for materials, download audio books, request titles, access personal accounts, read full-text magazine and newspaper articles, locate company and investment information, and find book reviews, literary analysis, census records and more. Registration is required. To register, visit the reference desk or call the library at ext. 204.

Patrons who have taken one or more library Internet classes may attend an open lab from 10 to 11 a.m. Fri., Feb. 23. Laptops will be available and librarians will be on hand to answer questions. Guidance is limited to topics covered in the library classes. Help will be given on a first come, first served basis.

A class demonstrating Google features and search options will start at 10 a.m. Tues., Feb. 27. The search engine's use as a calculator, converter, translator and dictionary will be revealed. Participants will learn basic and advanced search skills. Registration is required.
