Local couples have chance to win fitness makeover

Ventura County Adventure Boot Camp and True North Fitness and Health, in collaboration with VenturaParent.com, a local family resource website, will give five local couples the chance to participate in a 10week Couples Boot Camp Challenge.

Two couples will win first prize, a 10week health and fitness package valued at more than $1,700. The women will participate in two four-week sessions of Adventure Boot Camp, meeting on weekday mornings in Ventura and Camarillo. The men will take part in a weekly personal training session and remain accountable by participating in an online progressive personal training program.

Both couples will also receive weekly nutrition coaching. After completing the program, the couple who has made the most progress toward their goals will win a photo session with Quinn Photography and a haircut and color from Michael Kelley Salon in Ventura.

Three couples will win second prize, a 10-week health and fitness package valued at $947. These couples will receive an initial fitness assessment and body mechanics session, participate in an online personal training program and receive nutrition coaching with the firstplace couples.

The progress, including photos and statistics, of the five winning couples will be posted on a dedicated event page on the resource website.

The deadline to enter is Feb. 10. Prizes will be awarded on Valentine's Day, Wed., Feb. 14.
