Democratic Club to host February meeting next week

The Democratic Club of Conejo Valley will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wed., Feb. 14 at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library, 1401 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks.

The guest speaker will be Rose McDermott, a professor at UC Santa Barbara.

McDermott has written two books on international relations and foreign policy.

Her topic will be the war in Iraq and the Bush administration's proposed surge.

Attendees will write letters to the president and congressional committee chairpersons.
