Economic outlook conference slated

The 2007 Ventura County Real Estate and Economic Outlook Conference, hosted by Chicago Title Co., will be from 7:45 to 10:30 a.m. tomorrow, Fri., Feb. 9 at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza, 880 S. Westlake Blvd., Westlake Village.

The registration fee, which includes breakfast and conference materials, is $150.

"The U.S. and California Outlook" is the topic to be addressed by Howard L. Roth, PhD, chief economist for the California Department of Finance, who oversees the development of models and other techniques to anticipate future economies.

Dr. Robert Kleinhenz, deputy chief economist for the California Association of Realtors, will offer his insight into the California housing market for 2007.

The conference keynote speaker is Dr. Mark Schniepp, director of the California Economic Forecast. Schniepp will discuss the forecast for Ventura County's economy and real estate in 2007.

The conference is one in a series hosted throughout the year in Ventura and Los Angeles counties by First American Title. Ron Golden, First American vice president, and Andy Geesen, president of Pacific Title Co., will moderate the conference.
