NPHS cheer squad finishes first

CHEERFUL- The Newbury Park High School Competition Cheer Team took first place in the recent Junior Varsity Cheer category at the Pacific National Championships in Los Angeles. Among the 22 who participated were, from left, Team Captain Alicia Fierro, Ashley Strong, Dylan Ruby, Aubrey Ryan and Marlene Macias. The team will soon compete in Orlando, Fla.
