Teledyne moves its headquarters to T.O.

Teledyne Technologies Inc., a provider of sophisticated electronic components and other communications products for national defense, industrial and other applications, has moved its corporate headquarters to Thousand Oaks.

The majority of Teledyne's operating company employees will stay in the Los Angeles area, but about 30 of those at the W. Olympic Boulevard site began working in Thousand Oaks this week, said Robyn McGowan, human resources vice president.

McGowan counts herself fortunate to be one of those who've moved to the Thousand Oaks area, she said. She and her family have found a home in Lynn Ranch, where they're enjoying the country atmosphere.

In September 2006, Teledyne announced it bought Rockwell Scientific Company LLC for $167.5 million. Rockwell Scientific, which developed and manufactured infrared and visible light imaging sensors for surveillance, was headquartered in Thousand Oaks.

The company now operates under the names Teledyne Scientific Company and Teledyne Imaging Sensors.
