AYSO squad wins all-star tournament

TITLE TOWN- The Newbury Park boys U-12A all-star soccer team was crowned champions of the AYSO Area 10E tournament. The team will represent eastern Ventura County and Malibu in the sectional AYSO all-star tournament in Bakersfield on March 3-4. The Panthers swept through pool play undefeated, outscoring their opponents 24-2. The team then defeated Simi Valley A 8-0 in the quarterfinals, Thousand Oaks A 3-0 in the semifinals and Agoura A 4-0 in the championship game. Team members include Brandon Baldazzi, Kaden Burdick, Tony Churik, Jack Duncan, Garrett Edwards, Eduardo Faroni, Vitor Faroni, Jordan Harry, Daniel Hinds, Conor McDaniel, Mike Phillips and Alex Robbins. The team is coached by Glenn Phillips and Gabe Baldazzi.
