Valentine's gift sale to benefit Hospice

A Valentine's gift sale is planned for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sat., Feb. 10 at Castle Hill Retirement Village, 3575 N. Moorpark Road in Thousand Oaks. Proceeds will benefit Loving Heart Hospice Foundation of Ventura County.

All merchandise will have a Valentine's theme, such as heartshaped metal garden stakes, handmade heart pins, vintage button embellished T-shirts and heart-embossed greeting cards.

The foundation provides nocost medical hospice care for low-income patients and their families in Ventura County.

In 2006, the foundation provided more than $43,000 in grants to provide people with medical hospice services, such as days in a skilled nursing facility, caregivers in their homes and cremation or funeral expenses.
