Gunmen rob T.O. video store of cash, gold jewelry

Ventura County deputies are seeking three adult male Hispanics who allegedly tied up a male customer and a male employee during a robbery at a video store in Thousand Oaks last week.

Around 11:30 a.m. on Wed., Jan. 17, three men entered the Latino Video store, 1807 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd. Two of the three suspects showed they had handguns and ordered the victims to lie on the ground. After tying up the victims, they stole money from them and jewelry from a display case, said Senior Dep. Jeff Miller.

The store, across the street from the Civic Arts Plaza and near the Gardens of the World, is in a strip mall that includes Winners Pizza and Daniel's Upholstery.

"The gold jewelry seems to be the primary target," Miller said. "We have surveillance of them."

Ventura County Crime Stoppers will pay up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and the filing of charges against the perpetrators.

Anyone with information is asked to call (805) 494-TALK (8255).

The call isn't recorded and the caller can remain anonymous.
