Local libraries offer story times for preschoolers and toddlers

Children ages 3 to 5 are invited to participate in a story time series for preschoolers at the Newbury Park Library, 2331 Borchard Road, Newbury Park. "Stories to share with preschoolers" will be 1 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 23 through March 13.

Each 30-minute program features stories and songs. The free story times are for children only; parents and caregivers are invited to wait in the library during the program.

Toddlers and their parents or caregivers are invited to participate in a new story time designed for children ages 16 to 24 months at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library, 1401 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks.

The 45-minute programs will be at 10:30 a.m. Fridays, Jan. 26 through May 4.

Each free program will feature stories, songs and rhymes, a playtime for the children and a chance for the adults to visit.
