Exhibitors, vendors, needed for T.O. Arbor/Earth Day event
Ecofriendly vendors, exhibitors and sponsors are being sought for the city of Thousand Oaks Arbor/Earth Day celebration. The 10th annual event, which draws approximately 5,000 visitors, will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sat., April 21 at Conejo Creek Park North, 1379 E. Janss Road.
The purpose of Arbor/ Earth Day, sponsored by the city and Conejo Recreation and Park District, is "to promote a healthy, prosperous and sustainable environment by highlighting planetfriendly activities, services and products," according to a city spokesperson.
Local community groups, agencies and businesses that promote environmental awareness and practices, or produce environmentally friendly, nontoxic products and services are encouraged to participate.
The festival will include entertainment, tree plantings, children's activities, tree and
plant giveaways, composting
techniques, arts and crafts,
park rangers, Pause4Kids
Art-a-thon, wild animals,
and fire and police dis
plays.
Vendors can reserve a
10-by-10-foot booth, a table
and two chairs for $75. Non
profit organizations can ex
hibit for free.
