Topic: Blue collar housing

A presentation and discussion about affordable housing in Ventura County will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. Mon., Feb. 5 in the Meeting Room at Esseff Village, 1423 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., across from Gold Coast Plaza.

The American Association of University Women is hosting a panel of speakers and will screen the short documentary film "Mi Casa es Su Casa" about affordable housing in Ventura County. It will be followed by a discussion of lowcost housing issues and housing for farm and service workers in Ventura County.

Speakers scheduled to participate include Jessica Arciniega, coordinator of House Farm Workers; Vanessa Frank Garcia, attorney for California Rural Legal Assistance, Inc.; and Rick Schroeder, executive director of Many Mansions.

Refreshments will be served.
