Birding in the Conejo Valley

HAPPY HOBBYISTS—Newbury Park residents Catherine Bourne and Richard Armerding look for birds at Satwiwa Park on Sunday. They were helping the Audubon Society conduct its annual bird count. Birding is a popular pastime because participants record sightings of birds they haven’t seen before, it’s good exercise, and it gets people outdoors.
