The Jewish Genealogical Society of Conejo Valley and Ventura County awill hold a meeting from 2 to 4 p.m. Sun., Jan. 6, 2008, at Temple Adat Elohim, 2420 E. Hillcrest Drive in T.O.

The topic of the meeting will be documenting immigrants to America from 1882 to 1954.

Guest speaker Marian L. Smith is the senior historian at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Department of Homeland Security.

The lecture will focus on immigration and naturalization records of a typical late 19th and early 20th century immigrant. The presentation will conclude with a question-and-answer session.
