A manger scene slows traffic on Erbes Road

DAVID C. NEEDHAM Special to the Acorn ANGEL ON HIGH- Vehicles driving north on Erbes Road have slowed at the sight of an angel. In front of Conejo Valley Community Church, a life-size vinyl photo of Angel Annabell Englund, 15, of Thousand Oaks smiles from above a manger. The nativity was created by movie set designer Jim Graber of Newbury Park. Joseph is portrayed by Juan Uribe, 17, of Westlake Village, with Suzie Myers, 14, of T.O. as Mary. The photos were taken by youth pastor Aaron Hallstrom. The models were chosen from the church's senior high youth group for their spirit and appearance, according to Victoria Lemming of the church's office.
