Colina first in 'We The People' competition

They helped the school capture first place in recent competition at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley. TheColina Middle School social studies honors class, taught by Kris Olson with adviser Cathy Hinson, won the annual competition of "We The People" held at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library on Dec. 11.

The students won on all six units and competed against their peers from Conejo Valley Unified School District's four other middle schools. The teams were judged by judges, lawyers and educators.

Under Olson's and Hinson's tutelage, the students worked hard and studied for weeks in preparation for the competition.
