The people of Thousand Oaks have spoken. Intelligent residents are tired of the city taking a turn for the worse under the leadership of the current council majority. No one can argue that the past few years have brought us increased crime, smog, traffic congestion and excessive building heights. More ... I want to congratulate Thousand Oaks residents Nino DeFranco and Mojtaba Sedihgi on their efforts in collecting enough signatures for the traffic ballot initiative. I'm glad to see that democracy is alive and well in our fair city. More ... I'd like to show my kids the newly "saved" Rancho Potrero, but they'll eventually need to go to the potty, and it looks as though they will be out of luck. It appears that some people want to prevent the construction of a public toilet at Rancho Potrero by denying the installation of utilities to the property. More ... Are we letting the Grinch steal our Christmas again? The other day I got an e-mail from our middle school regarding the winter feast preparation. In it, this instruction was given: "Please make sure napkins and plates do not have things like candy canes, etc., or look Christmasy, as the teachers want to be sensitive to everyone's beliefs.
