United Methodist announces times for season's special services

United Methodist Church of Thousand Oaks will host a number of special services this month for the Advent/Christmas season.

During Advent, the Rev. Steve Peralta, the church's pastor, will preach a sermon series on "Better Days" which will include "Joy" on Dec. 16 and "Salvation" on Dec. 23.

Sunday worship services are 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary and 11:15 a.m. in Dickerson Hall, 1000 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks.

Three different services will be offered on Christmas Eve, Mon., Dec. 24: children's pageant in Dickerson Hall at 4 p.m. and worship in the sanctuary with candle lighting at 7 p.m.

A service of lessons and carols with communion and candle lighting will be offered at 11 p.m.

All services are free and open to the public.
