Global Exchange to present film

The Global Exchange Ventura County Supporters and Fellowship of Reconciliation Ventura County will present the film "Joyeux Noel" from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Wed., Dec. 19 at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library, 1401 E. Janss Road.

A discussion will follow the screening.

This film is set in 1914 on a battlefield in Europe and tells the truelife story of a spontaneous Christmas Eve truce declared by Scottish, French and German troops in the trenches of World War I. The movie was nominated for an Academy Award, Golden Globe and BAFTA.

There's no charge for the event.
