Home-schooled hoops players sought

Liberty Christian Academy is announcing the start of its 2008 basketball season for boys in the ninth grade (13 or 14 years old).

LCA will play against other home school and Christian teams in the area and will also compete in seasonal tournaments. This is the first year of the program. Players that are home-schooled at least 51 percent of the time, are in ninth grade and have basketball experience should e-mail coach Tim McCarthy at t1mccarthy@verizon.net or call (805) 497-1923.

Players do not need to be affiliated with Liberty Christian to play on the team.
