Behavioral Health agency receives award
      The Ventura County Behavioral Health Department, a division of the Ventura County Health Care Agency, was selected to receive the inaugural Science and Service Award from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. They were honored specifically for the Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment program launched in 2005.

President of local cancer support group honored at women's luncheon
      President of The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura Suzanne Drace was recently honored at Big Thinking Women's 50@50+ Inaugural Event Luncheon at the Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles. The women's organization, founded by Dr. Tessa Warschaw, hosted the event which honored 50 of Los Angeles' most accomplished women.
