Nicole Hobbs and Jessica Riendeau

Nicole Hobbs, Realtor at White House Properties, Westlake Village, and Jessica Riendeau, owner of Michael Thomas Escrow in Westlake Village, have joined forces over the last several years to help those in need in the Conejo Valley.

Hobbs goes doortodoor getting the community to participate in a program for Manna, the food bank of the Conejo Valley. She said, "It is amazing what a great response I get, even though most people already participate in some food drive or another through their work, their kid's schools or church affiliations. Most people seem to think that the Conejo Valley is such a privileged area where everybody lives in abundance, but it is not necessarily so. We need to be grateful for what we have and give to those in need; even if it is only one can of goods or a toothbrush, every little bit helps." Riendeau supports several agents in the community with efforts to help different causes. She said, "I recognize that people are just the same in a food bank as they are in the grocery store. They are there because they have a need. When one donates to a food bank, or any cause for which the need is filled by a greater thought to their neighbor than the limited thought of the self, I believe it enlarges our overall capacity to love. Were it not for sharing and helping one another, what would give our lives meaning in the first place?"
