Flags retired during Elks ceremony

WITH QUIET DIGNITY- On Veterans Day, Sun., Nov. 11, under a gentle mist of rain, the Thousand Oaks Elks Lodge No. 2477 conducted a flag retirement ceremony. From left, Harrison Ang of Boy Scout Troop No. 754, Elks Exalted Ruler Catherine Koeritz and Alyssa Gogesch of Girl  Scout Troop  No.  12  pay  their  respects.  Seventy-five  members,  guests  and  Scouting representatives attended. Old, torn, tattered and dirty U.S. flags should be retired, not flown.
