Free training available for ESL tutors

Laubach Literacy of Ventura County will offer a two-day workshop to train volunteers to become English as a Second Language tutors for adults. The workshop will be from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sat., Oct. 27 and Nov. 3 in Camarillo. Directions will be provided at time of registration.

A certificate of completion will be given to those who finish the workshop.

The workshops will train participants to teach reading, writing and speaking to nonfluent English speakers. Teaching experience is not required, nor is fluency is any language besides English.
