Female auto racer helps other women

A "Women on Wheels" workshop will be held from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sat., Oct. 20 in the service drive of Kemp Ford, 3810 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks.

The workshop is open to women of all ages and will provide and understanding of vehicle service and maintenance with tips on how to avoid scams and paying for unnecessary repairs.

The workshop is cosponsored by Kemp Ford and Vineyard Community Church in Thousand Oaks. Refreshments will be provided by the Vineyard Cafe.

Participants will receive "Write-Up" job aid, a vehicle symptom chart that any customer should fill out before bringing a vehicle in for service.

Belinda Endress of Newbury Park will assist at the workshop. Endress has nine years of auto racing experience in professional and amateur events and has multiple wins in various forms of motor sports. She is a test driver for an automotive suspension manufacturer.
