The Conejo Jewish Academy will begin its fall semester this month. The academy offers courses, study groups, lectures, workshops, seminars and special events and religious activities. Its headquarters is in Agoura Hills at 30345 Canwood St., and classes are also offered at five satellite locations in Calabasas, Oak Park, Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley.

Among the classes being offered this semester are beginning Hebrew; "Letters of Light," which explores the kabbalistic understanding of the Hebrew alphabet; "Israel: The Land and the Spirit"; and Jewish medical ethics.

A series of lectures will also be featured during the semester.
