Women help nurture a new generation

BILL SPARKES/Acorn Newspapers HAPPY TO HELP-- Mia Cheng, 2, of Newbury Park is watched by Kathy Farshidi, Kay Baumbach and Ann Nelson, members of the Westlake Woman's Club, which donated $13,000 to the Conejo Valley Neighborhood for Learning facility this summer. The center created a program called "Watch and Wonder" that promotes parenting skills, nutrition and a nurturing environment for eight English-speaking and seven Spanish-speaking mothers and children.
