'King Lear' is staged at CLU

      It is hard to believe that the Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival has been around for 11 years, providing Conejo Valley drama fans the opportunity to see low-cost, professional productions of the works of William Shakespeare each summer.

To perform on Labor Day
      FREE CONCERT SET FOR SEPT. 3- Maxine Nightingale and her band will perform their No. 1 Billboard hits on Mon., Sept. 3 in Conejo Community Park, 1175 Hendrix Ave. in T.O. Their disco-era songs "Right Back Where We Started From" and "Lead Me On" will be crowd-pleasers. Aspen will be the 5 p.m. warm-up group. The concert is free.

T.O. musicians from '60s, '70s perform again
      A group of Thousand Oaks musicians from the '60s and '70s, led by music teacher and professional musician Jim Rolfe, will perform on Sun., Aug. 26 from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Conejo Creek North's Lakeside Pavilion, 1379 Janss Road, behind the library, in Thousand Oaks.
