Project Playhouse display coming to Thousand Oaks

HomeAid Los Angeles Ventura's seventh annual Project Playhouse display will be from Sat., Sept. 8 to Sat., Oct. 20 at The Lakes shopping center, 2200 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks.

Tours will be conducted from noon to 6 p.m. weekends for $2 per person.

An auction party will take place Sat., Oct. 20 at Gardens of the World at 2001 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd. in T.O.

The four playhouses on display were created by LL Development Partners Inc., Pardee Homes, Shea Homes and Lennar Homes.

Landscaping for the display was created by Landscape Development Inc. The work on the playhouses and landscaping was donated by the companies involved.

Playhouses featured are a Curious George Country House, a structure with a firehouse theme, an American Girls house and Li'l Fitness Palace, which can be won in an opportunity drawing for $3 per ticket.

HomeAid, a nonprofit arm of the Building Industry Association of Southern California, builds and renovates residences for temporarily homeless people in Los Angeles and Ventura counties.
