Due to an editing error, Vicki Melia was incorrectly identified in a photo caption last week. She's the mother of Lance Cpl. Anthony Melia, a marine who was killed in the Iraq War.

Although veterinarian Dr. Leslie Schwartz is retiring, the Arboles Animal Clinic will stay open in the shopping center at Moorpark Road and Avenida de Los Arboles.
