Botanic Garden gets more trees

IRIS SMOOT/Acorn Newspapers TREE DEDICATION- Park Rangers Sheila Fernandez, left, and Jane "Spider" Fawke from the California Open Space Conservation Agency accept a certificate of appreciation for the group's support of the Conejo Valley Botanic Garden Trail of Trees. California Garden Clubs Inc. donated $2,500 to help the project. The trees will beautify a previously weedy, unused hillside and provide shade for flowers and shrubs, which will extend the Butterfly Garden. Private citizens, law enforcement and the armed forces will get a plaque beside each tree.
