Each year, the city of T.O allocates $100,000 toward grants for local nonprofits that provide cultural arts events, sports and community activities.

The 2007 Community Events Endowment Grant Program's annual application period will continue through Oct. 1.

To be eligible, proposed events or activities must occur between July 1, 2007, and June 30, 2008. Complete eligibility requirements are available on the applications.

Applications are available at Thousand Oaks City Hall in the City Manager and City Clerk offices, Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library, Newbury Park Branch Library and on the city website, www.toaks.org.

All applications will be reviewed in October by the councilappointed Community Funding Review Committee.

All funding recommendations will then be forwarded to City Council for approval.
