Local students hit milestones in education

•Stephen Lin of Thousand Oaks received an associate degree from Oxford College, the two-year liberal arts division of Emory University in Oxford, Ga.

Lin was named to the merit list of Oxford College for the 2007 spring semester. He's the son of Allan Y. and Meilin S. Lin.

•Laura Mallaley of Thousand Oaks received a bachelor of arts degree from the College of Humanities and Natural Sciences at Loyola University in New Orleans.

Mallaley was named to the dean's list for the 2007 spring semester.

•Michelle Panzica of Thousand Oaks graduated from Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Conn. She'll attend Boston University in the fall.

Panzica was named to the dean's list for the 2007 spring semester. She's the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony J. Panzica.

•Nicholas Panzica of Thousand Oaks was named to the dean's list for the 2007 spring semester at Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Conn. He's the son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony J. Panzica.

•Larissa Benedek of Thousand Oaks received a bachelor of arts in art administration from the College of Arts and Sciences at Simmons College in Boston, Mass.

•Santina Nicole Cooper of Newbury Park was named to the dean's list at Smith College in Northampton, Mass., for the 200607 school year.

Cooper graduated in 2006 from Newbury Park High School and is the daughter of Don and RuthAnn Cooper. She plans to study in Geneva, Switzerland, during the 2008-09 academic year.

•Brian Geoffrey Millar of Westlake Village received a master of science in physical education from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, Calif.
