Senior Center Commission has opening

The Goebel Senior Center Commission has one opening on the board of commissioners. The term will expire at the end of June 2010.

The board is composed of 15 seniors, age 55 or older, residing within the boundaries of the Conejo Recreation and Park District, particularly individuals who are knowledgeable of the needs and interests of older people and community resources.

Commissioners volunteer their time and skills, serve on committees and assist in programs that benefit seniors. Regular public meetings are on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 1 p.m. at the Goebel Senior Center.

Interested applicants should submit their name, address, phone number and any other pertinent information to the office of the administrator of Recreation and Community Services, Conejo Recreation and Park District, 403 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks.

The application deadline is 5 p.m. Fri., Sept. 7.
