Sting operation again catches stores selling alcohol to minors

Employees at five Thousand Oaks businesses were cited for selling alcohol to minors during a sting operation on June 22, according to a police report.

The Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving and the Bike Patrol units visited about 50 locations, including convenience marts and liquor, drug and grocery stores. Clerks who sold alcohol were cited and released.

The following outlets allegedly sold alcoholic beverages to minors: Cask and Wine Shop, Kimber Drive, Newbury Park; Rite Aid, East Avenida de Los Arboles, Thousand Oaks; Rite Aid, North Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks; Thousand Oaks Liquor, East Thousand Oaks Boulevard, Thousand Oaks, and CVS Pharmacy, Agoura Road, Thousand Oaks.
