Twenty-eight competitive dancers, ages 7 to 17, with the Agoura Hills Dance and Performing Arts Center have qualified to compete next month in the national championships of the New York City Dance Alliance. After regional qualification and more than a year of fundraising, the students are getting ready to travel cross-country to put their best foot forward in the competition that attracts dancers from throughout the United States.

They will showcase their numbers with other Agoura Hills Dance students at the premiere of "Star 2007 Illusions," with performances at 2 and 7 p.m. Sat., June 30 at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 E. The studio's ballet presentation of "Alice in Wonderland" will be 2 and 7 p.m. Sun., June 24 also at the Civic Arts Plaza.
