Conejo Valley Botanic Garden offers variety of activities

The Conejo Valley Botanic Garden will present a variety of events in July. The garden is at 350 W. Gainsborough Road, Thousand Oaks. For more information, call (805) 494-7630.

A garden walk led by Ed Hager will focus on rare fruit at 2 p.m. Sun., July 1. Walkers should wear sturdy shoes and bring a bottle of water. Meet at the garden entrance.

A native and water-wise plant sale will be from 10 a.m. to noon Sat., July 7 at the garden nursery.

Floral design in the Sogetsu style will be taught in the garden center at 9:30 a.m. Thurs., July 5 and 19. Cost for each class is $15 plus $10 for flowers, or $50 per month. For more information on the class, call Camille at (805) 498-7421.

An origami class for children will be taught at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Sun., July 29 in the Kids' Adventure Garden. Reservations are required. Donation is $1 for children ages 4 to 12. The adventure garden is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays and provides an opportunity for children to learn about nature and gardening.
