Eagle Scout honored

A WINNER-  Timothy Matthew Swavely, a member of Boy Scout Troop No. 754 and son of Peter and Chris Swavely, has achieved Eagle Scout, the highest in Scouting. For his project, he led an effort to refurbish the coaches' office and trainer's room at Newbury Park High School. They reconditioned the paneling and installed new carpet in the coaches' quarters and stained cabinets and painted walls and the floor of the trainer's room. Nineteen Scouts, friends and adults donated 103 hours to the project. Tim was sponsored by the Elks Lodge.
