Westlake High students launch discount program
      Sidney Primas and Ali Athar, both 17, announced the introduction of the Deuces Wild Co. and its discount membership card program coordinated by members of a team from Westlake High School under the guidance of the worldwide Junior Achievement Program. Sidney is the CEO and Ali the president of the company.

Teen Center plans concert with 4 bands
      The Thousand Oaks Teen Center will host a high school concert from 7 to 11 p.m. Sat., May 19 at 1375 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks. The show will feature the bands Shiny Toy Guns, American Eyes, Satori in Paris and Fever Team.

WLV student earns her master's degree
      Joan Mary Dodd of Westlake Village has earned a Master of Education degree from Whitworth College, a private liberal arts college in Spokane, Wash. The school is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA) and enrolls 2,500 students.

Conejo students shine at science fair
      Students from Conejo Valley schools dominated the 53rd annual Ventura County Science Fair, held April 17 to 19 at Seaside Park in Ventura, with La Reina High School tying Ventura High for most firstplace projects in the Senior Division with four, and area intermediate school students winning 10 of 12 Junior Division categories.

      The awardwinning Thousand Oaks High School Dance Team and other participants will present "Viva Las Vegas," the spring concert, tomorrow and Saturday.
