Nominations open for people who've made a positive impact on community

Conejo/Las Virgenes Future Foundation is accepting nominations for its seventh annual CLvFFie (pronounced cliffie) Awards.

The awards recognize individuals and/or organizations in the Conejo and Las Virgenes area that have made a positive impact on the community through service, volunteerism, monetary donations and/or significant achievements.

Award categories are the arts, business/professional, community service, education, healthcare, public safety, youth sports. A new category this year is youth leadership.

Anyone may nominate an individual or organization by filling out the nomination form at www.clvff.org.

The deadline for submitting nominations is Sat., June 30. Finalists will be notified in September.

Each finalist will receive two complimentary tickets to the cocktail reception and awards ceremony on Sun., Nov. 4 at the Janet and Ray Scherr Forum Theatre of the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. Additional tickets will be available for purchase.
