      The Manninghams, Bella and Jack, are poster children for dysfunctional marriage in Conejo Players' thriller "Angel Street." This middleclass couple resides on Angel Street in Pimlico, a residential district of central London, in 1880. Despite the outward respectability- servants, good clothes, well-appointed house- we see immediately that something's amiss.

Art winners celebrated at ceremony
      The Ventura County Arts Council celebrated artists and their supporters at the recent second annual Arts Stars Awards and luncheon at the Courtyard by Marriott in Oxnard. Winners in eight categories ranged from the businesses and city that have supported the arts to individual artists and arts philanthropists.

      Auditions for Cabrillo Music Theatre's production of Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" will be Sat. through Tues., May 19 to 22. Casino Night coming to the Yacht Club
      "Casino Night," a Blue Gavel scholarship fundraiser, will take place starting at 6:30 p.m. Sat., May 12 at the Westlake Yacht Club, 32123 Lindero Canyon Road, Westlake Village.       DANCING NORDIC STYLE- Ted Martin of Westminster, Calif., swings Diane Gruber of Long Beach around the dance floor at the Scandinavian Festival. The cultural celebration was on Saturday and Sunday at Cal Lutheran University. The "Scandi Dancers" dance troupe performed Danish, Norwegian, Finnish and other traditional dances.

Conejo Players to stage macabre Christie mystery
      Conejo Players Theatre will present the Agatha Christie play "And Then There Were None" Saturdays and Sundays April 21 through May 12 at 351 S. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks. The ensemble comedy takes place in the island home of a mysterious host. As the guests are sequentially eliminated according to the verses of a nursery rhyme, suspicions and allegations run amok.
