Community West Bank teaches financial ABCs
Tricia Ahern and Rick Ramirez of Community West Bank will lead a group of fourthgrade students at Sheridan Elementary School in Ventura in an interactive presentation encouraging them to save money.
The lesson will take place from 8:15 to 9:45 a.m. Tues., April 24 at 573 Sheridan Way.
It is part of a national Teach Children to Save Program sponsored by the American Bankers Association Education Foundation.
Lynda Nahra, Community West Bank president and CEO, said, "For most schools, financial education, like art or music classes, is a luxury they just can't afford.
"Just like firefighters and police officers teach safety in the classroom, our bankers are a natural fit to be involved in financial education for children and teens."
