Toni Hanson
Broker/owner Bob Majorino has welcomed 20-year veteran agent Toni Hanson to Prudential California Realty's Thousand Oaks office. Hanson is among the top percent of agents in the area and has taken her firm's highest award for production. She has extensive relocation experience and has achieved success in listing and selling thousands of residential properties.
In addition to her career as a Realtor, Hanson has had a lifelong passion for animals. With the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and the multitude of tragedies involving people and their pets, Hanson became interested in developing a disaster plan for animal evacuation. She contacted her friend June Roberti, wife of former California Sen. David Roberti, who suggested Hanson call Gretchen Wyler. For many years, Wyler has worked with the Humane Society and the ASPCA and was the founder of the Genesis Awards Event and TV Special, which honors members of the media for producing works which raise public awareness of animal issues.
Hanson and Wyler began a strategy for a pilot program, which is now offered to all communities. A group of people came together to form the Community Animal Response and Evacuation Group. Other members of C.A.R.E., many of whom aided in animal search and rescue after Katrina, include: a retired police sergeant who is well versed in the canine incident command system; a large-scale animal evacuation specialist from animal regulation; members of the Red Cross, one of whom trains service dogs for the disabled; and veteran volunteers with local animal shelters, who assist in animal rescue and find homes for needy pets.
Hanson is grateful to her friends and colleagues for their continuous support. visit evacuatemypet.com for full details on the program. Hanson serves real estate clients in the Conejo Valley and surrounding areas. She can be reached at (805) 496-8672.
