We can be a hub for science

I am a retried science school teacher. I often observed the value of hands-on learning and the joy of students being motivated to learn through the thrill of discovery. When I was a child I was inspired to learn and ultimately find a career in science from my memorable trips to science museums. I am sure that our schools will utilize this museum to inspire and educate our children.

The Conejo Valley is located in "the technology corridor," yet the closest significant science museum is hours away. We have the need, we have the talent and we now have the location. This museum will show that our community is a hub for science.

We must show that we value education, learning and our children. It's time to do the correct thing and build the Discovery Center Museum for our community. Michael Newlon Santa Rosa Valley
