Tired of Fox leading the council

It looks like Acorn staff writer Nancy Needham has issued Mr. Andy Fox a pardon. Pardon me. Is this an example of biased reporting or a way of stirring up controversy?

Where was the other side of the story? We have other leaders in the community with another point of view, including people who have been victimized by Mr. Fox's actions. How about some balanced reporting? The story read more like a paid political announcement. Let's remember there are two sides to every story. Do we have to rely on the other newspapers for the other side?

Alarms are going off around Fireman Fox. Too many people are taking the fall for his agenda.

He does need to be shown some respect, as it's really not fair for us to criticize his judgment in his actions with the fire department situations. None of us know the real details. But it's the record that's building up against him, with too many people losing their jobs, that associate with him, that casts the shadow of doubt.

I'm sure his superiors and associates were very aware of the grand jury report against our City Council, even though there was no evidence of violations.

When a reputation is being established based on several incidents it can't be a comfortable situation for the people who depend on him for their own reputation. There has to be some reprimand; it's owed to the public.

There has been more than enough evidence of an abuse of power in Mr. Fox's character. In the history of our world when leaders start eliminating those around him when they don't agree, we as Americans threaten sanctions and even war against these enemies of democracy.

America's foundation and pride is for democracy. Look at the common thread of dictators in our history. They all exterminated people that didn't go along with their agendas.

We need leaders who are fair and unbiased, leaders that don't give preferences to just the elite who want favors. We need leaders that can bridge and form teams and partnerships, who include and consider everyone's contribution. We need leaders who know how to unite.

Mr. Fox has a lot of talent; I'd like to see him use it in a more balanced and constructive manner. Marilee Ullmann Thousand Oaks
