Arts festival taking exhibitor applications

Ventura County visual artists are invited to exhibit in the fourth annual Thousand Oaks Arts Festival, which will be Sat. and Sun., Sept. 15 and 16 at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, Mary and Richard Carpenter Plaza Park.

A limited number of spaces are available on a first come, first served basis. Information and applications are available at www.toartsfestival.com or by calling Craig Morton, visual arts chair, at (818) 991-6158.

The application deadline is Fri., July 13. Artists' booths are $225 each and double booths $450. An additional $25 application fee is required. Tables, chairs and canopy are provided for each booth. Friday setup is encouraged. Overnight security is provided. The festival will feature more than 80 exhibitors, live performances, art demonstrations and children's handson exhibits. Awards, including Best of Show, Chairman's and Honorary Chair, will be presented Sun., Sept. 16.

Admission is free for the public. The hours will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
