Woman Receives $10,000 As Winner Of Troop Company-Wide Giveaway

"My first reaction was shock. Now I'm very excited. For Troop Real Estate to give a gift of $10,000 with no strings attached to a member of the community is simply wonderful."

This is how Joan Scozzafava of Agoura Hills responded upon receiving a check from Brian Troop, president of Troop Real Estate. Joining Troop in the presentation at the company's Westlake Village office were Troop agent Sherry Price-Knight and Patti Hepple, manager of Troop's Westlake office. B.J. Parisi of Agoura, Scozzafava's nephew, accompanied her.

Alluding to Troop's companywide contest, Price-Knight said, "Each of us has a fire in our heart for something, and the goal is to discover it. Brian Troop's goal is clearly to give back to the communities his company serves. Having a contest like this makes our company and its agents that much more credible, makes our job easier and sets us apart. There was no catch to the contest; someone was going to win, and it warms my heart that Joan was that person."

The contest was initiated when Troop agents distributed fliers throughout their service areas. Participants were required to mail in an entry. The winner was selected in drawing.
