Westlake High vocal group to perform
JANN HENDRY/Acorn Newspapers SOUND SENSATION- - The Westlake High School Choral Music Department men's ensemble rehearse "Brown-Eyed Girl" for the "Hope is Alive" concert. Performances will be today through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and a 1 p.m. matinee on Saturday in the Westlake High School Theater, 100 N. Lakeview Canyon Road. The Westlake High School Choral Music Department will present a spring concert, "Hope Is Alive," at 7:30 p.m. Thurs. through Sat., March 8 to 10, with an additional 1 p.m. performance Sat., March 10.
The show will include music from Disney's "Hercules," the Broadway hit "Wicked," and oldies such as "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," "Good Lovin'" and "Brown-eyed Girl." All six of the school's vocal groups will dance as well as sing.
